Hi, I'm Yash Manne

Machine Learning Engineer | M.S. Data Science

I'm currently an M.S. Data Science student at the University of Washington graduating in March 2024 with prior work experience in image segmentation & geospatial analytics as a Predictive Modeler Intern attributing the wildfire risk of properties at Auto-Owners Insurance .

I began my data science journey at Michigan State University, where I dabbled in bioinformatics at the Christoph Benning Lab. Here, I modified gene mutation-mapping software to run faster on a computing cluster and applied computational biology techniques to identify candidate genes for future studies.
As my capstone project, I worked with Neogen Corporation to design and build software that detects food contamination from spectral data using automated machine learning.
In three years, I earned dual degrees in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology/Biotechnology & Data Science and was bestowed the MSU Board of Trustees' Award and the BMB Outstanding Undergraduate Student Award.

Currently, I'm working on furthering my knowledge in the following areas:
